Danny Couch is our most recent addition to the NC 12 Realty team, bringing a 24-year career of practical, hands-on real estate sales experience grown from the ground up on his native Hatteras Island. Known as the Island Historian, Danny is one of the go-to folks for knowledge and stories about the island’s rich maritime history, heritage and culture. He wears many hats as an advocate and ambassador for all things Hatteras, and represents what NC 12 Realty strives to convey in our relationships in the community.  

Danny’s abilities to nurture relationships translate well to what you, our clients, tell us you love about this wonderful place you’ve chosen to invest in - and become a part of - alongside us. His myriad contacts on the island, the greater Outer Banks and North Carolina are an invaluable asset appreciated by his customers and clients.

Danny and his wife, Sherry, a school administrator, are the parents of three children. He has traveled extensively but his best stress relievers are hunting Buxton Woods’ maritime ridges for artifacts, researching the island’s compelling history, and roaming the beaches on days of paradise and days of nature’s fury too.
